IMPACT OF PLACES ON WORK ACTIVITY
« Telework transforms our relationship to work. Place and buildings are important in professional activity. We work differently. The concept of « third-place » or co-working shows that we can work out of home without being in our company’’s an office . We also witness a change in housing with hybrid models Ehpad-nursery. The world of « co » is fashionable again. Telework offers flexibility and autonomy. This allows not only to regulate the time of transport but also the environmental impact. This approach was initiated since the 1970s. However, 100% « full-remote » is not viable. Telework’s’ productivity is 2-3 days according to Isabelle.
VIRTUAL MEALS ARE OVER
« If teleworking has instilled flexibility and performance for both the company and the employee, one thing doesn’t work remotely according to her : the meal! « Business meal is about sharing. Eating your sandwich on your own or in the canteen doesn’t convey the same message. Talking and eating intersect. Executive jobs include fees to invite people for lunch. The higher you are in the hierarchy, the more you can invite guest to a prestigious place. A director can take power by inviting an employee to a face-to-face meeting. »
